What is a Bump Screen?
A kitchen bump screen is a device that provides order information in a kitchen via a T.V. like monitor as opposed to a paper printer. The screen can be in black and white or in color. The chef can navigate through the orders by using a keypad mounted on the wall. As orders are made, they can be deleted quickly from the screen. New orders appear automatically as they are created by the wait staff. Special orders appear in RED or so the chef can quickly identify modifiers.
